1. Check the expiration date.
2. Handle the condom carefully, to avoid tearing it with nails or sharp objects.
3. With the rim of the condom facing outward, squeeze the tip and place the condom on the tip of the erect penis. Unroll the condom all the way down with the other hand.
4. If during intercourse you feel the condom rolling up, slipping off, or pulling the penis, stop and check its condition, as it increases the likelihood of it breaking.
5. After ejaculation, and while the penis is still erect, hold the condom at the base of the penis and remove it.
6. Dispose of it in household waste (not in the toilet).
